the inspiration
the deco collection

inspired by the “international style” movement of the 1920s and 30s, the deco collection captures the spirit of america’s jazz age and the era’s art deco moment. an interplay of exotic and industrial elements, the collection is a mosaic of streamlined silhouettes, shimmering ornamentation, concentric circle motifs, chevron striping, abstract deco patterns and decorative art nouveau designs. this spring/summer 2012 repertoire makes reference to multiple colorful and divergent sources: frank lloyd wright’s architecture, sonia delaunay’s paintings and fabric designs, hollywood silver screen sirens constance bennett and carole lombard, and the storied legend of evelyn nesbit.
